Emergency Management Coordinator: Lt. Joe Flately
The purpose of the Emergency Operations Plan is to protect life and property in emergencies by coordinating response activities of municipal and volunteer entities to ensure their optimum uses. It provides actions to be taken to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from effects of an emergency. The plan is an all-hazards approach to emergency management and covers natural disasters, technological disasters, and national security crises.
The Gloucester County Emergency Medical Service is the first county based EMS in the state of New Jersey, established September 30, 2007. They are a dedicated organization comprised of professionals with the highest standards for quality and excellence. They are committed to providing dependable, professional emergency medical service to all residents and visitors of Gloucester County. They currently have a fleet of 19 ambulances and multiple support vehicles. They are 150 dedicated employees with nine working stations. The nine crews operate on a 24 hour 7 day a week basis one power shift, 0800-2100 hours.
